The short version
Vehicle Score is a game about spotting cars, not about collecting your data. We keep the minimum needed to run your account and the game, we strip photo metadata before anything leaves your device, we never store your exact location, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
What we collect
Account: your email, username, chosen country, and optional profile picture. Gameplay: your garage (unlocked vehicles), XP, achievements, scan results, and friends list. Scans: the three vehicle frames you capture, the liveness evidence produced on your device, and the recognition result. The iOS and Android apps do not request location access.
What we strip and never keep
Photos are re-encoded on your device before upload, which removes all EXIF metadata — including GPS position, device identifiers, and timestamps. We do not collect your contacts, your precise movements, or advertising identifiers. Scan photos should be of vehicles; please avoid capturing people. Captures can contain visible faces or license plates and are not automatically blurred, so frame the vehicle carefully. Raw captures stay private. A processed vehicle image used on a garage card may be served from public storage and should be treated as publicly accessible.
How your data is used
To run the game: checking that a capture is live, identifying vehicles, enforcing daily allowances, awarding XP and achievements, ranking leaderboards, preventing abuse, handling reports, and providing subscription access. Country leaderboards use only the country you chose.
AI processing
Vehicle frames pass through our recognition gateway and may be sent to a configured vision-AI provider to identify the make, model, and generation. We send image and technical request context, not your password or full payment-card details. On-device liveness checks run before upload.
What others can see
Signed-in players can see your gameplay profile: name, username, avatar, country, level, XP, rank, and collection counts. Your email and raw scan images are never shown on your profile. You can report or block another player from their profile card.
Storage and security
Account data is stored with our database provider (Supabase/Postgres) with row-level security. Sensitive gameplay writes such as unlocks and XP are performed by our authenticated server. Raw scan images live in private storage. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are never stored in plain text.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes subscription payments, and Vehicle Score does not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat validates purchases and synchronizes subscription access. We receive product and transaction identifiers, subscription status, renewal and expiration information, and the Vehicle Score account identifier linked to the purchase.
Your rights
You can update your username, country, and picture and request deletion of your account and associated data in the app. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription; subscriptions must be cancelled through the store account. Children
Vehicle Score is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
